Privacy
Pitch Lab has no accounts and no server of its own. The site is a set of static files. When you answer a drill, keep a streak, or star a word, that lives in your browser's localStorage and nowhere else. Clearing site data in your browser erases all of it.
One exception, and it counts nothing about you: each page load is counted by Plausible, a cookieless counter. It sees that a page was viewed — no cookies, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no personal data. Your answers, your streaks, and your voice never leave the device.
The microphone in Speak mode is used only while the record button is active. The recording is analyzed in the page and thrown away when the next word loads. No audio leaves the device.

Accuracy
Accents reflect the Kanjium database for Tokyo-standard Japanese. Real speakers vary, some words have accepted variants, and dictionary numbers can differ between dictionaries. Treat the contour as the standard reference shape, not the only correct way a human can say a word.
